Parent Survey: Local Control Accountability Plan
Parent Survey: Local Control Accountability Plan
Posted on 02/05/2014
clipartGovernor Jerry Brown and the California Legislature have developed and altered how California schools are funded.   Under this new model, known as the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF), Districts will receive funding more directly and Local School Boards will have more autonomy for programs and services needed by the schools.  A part of the LCFF requires each District to develop a Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) which will guide the priorities of the District in the budget development process.

The LCAP must address priority areas identified by the California Department of Education. These focus areas include implementation of the Common Core, adequate instructional materials and facilities, parental involvement, student achievement and engagement as well as other student outcomes, and school climate.  Districts may also develop local goals in addition to the priority areas addressed by the State of California.

The survey link below will allow parents and community members the opportunity to express your thoughts on areas related to Central Union's development of the LCAP.
